The Open Badge consists of some mandatory and optional fields. The Open Badge content is:

  1. Open Badge Name
  2. Open Badge Description

  4. Open Badge Privacy Settings

  7. Open Badge Award Criteria

Creating An Open Badge

Creating an open badge onBadgewellplatform is an easy job that shouldn’t take more than 60 seconds to complete. It just involves four easy steps:

  1. Go to the admin panel.
  2. Go to Badges.
  3. Click on the “Create a New Badge” button.
  4. Fill the badge form then click “Create Badge” button in the lower right corner of the screen.

In order to start awarding badges, you will need to fill the following fields: “Badge Name”, “Badge Description”, “Badge Picture”, “Badge Privacy”, “Badge Skills” and finally “Badge Award Criteria”.

Award An Open Badge

Once the above steps are completed, your open badge is ready to be awarded. Awarding open badges can be done using one of three methods:

  1. Award individual open badges by filling a form that send an email to the open badge recipient.
  2. Award multiple open badges by uploading a file.
  3. Award open badges automatically using Badgewell APIs.
